Accessibility
The floor, not a feature: every interface must be operable by keyboard, understandable without color alone, and comfortable under reduced motion. It is cheaper to bake in than to retrofit — contrast math before shipping, 44px targets, focus you can see. Disability is contextual, so the floor has to hold for everyone.
