AI reverse engineering
Agents that read other software: decompiling binaries, renaming the unknown, testing hypotheses against running code, and reimplementing what they understand. The tools are old — Ghidra, IDA, Binary Ninja — the new part is the loop: an agent drives them through MCP bridges, keeps its working notes in the project database, and revises its theories instead of freezing them in chat history. API coverage is cheap now; knowing what the code actually does is the long tail.
